In his message to the school community, our Deputy Headteacher, Mr. Odeke Moses, emphasizes that success is not accidental but the result of clear goals and tireless effort. As he beautifully puts it: “There is nothing on a caterpillar that tells you it is to become a beautiful butterfly”
to help our students “walk in the pipeline of success,” Mr. Odeke shares these six essential life lessons:
Take Charge of Your Life: Have clear plans and a vision. Success is not left to sheer luck; it is built through short-term goals that lead to your overall life aspirations.
Aim to Be the Best: Never underestimate your potential. Setting minimum average marks or target aggregates as you begin your level provides a clear roadmap to achievement.
Determination is Key: Your altitude determines your success. Being determined allows you to endure the “pains” that are part of the journey.
Mind Your Social Networks: Surround yourself with people who believe in success. You are the average of the people you spend the most time with.
Utilize Available Resources: Make the most of your teachers and the library. Choose to see the value in the academic resources provided by the school.
Develop Effective Study Skills: Hard work must be coupled with strategic planning. Success comes from the conviction that “Yes, I can”.
